Blow Up Songs Limited is a London based independent
publisher and PRS member. Established in 1996 by Blow Up DJ and founder Paul Tunkin, it is a
sister company of Blow Up Records Limited.
At Blow Up Songs we only work with music that we ourselves have a
passion for, which has lead to the creation of an eclectic bespoke catalogue of
over 200 contemporary works. Our music has proved popular for TV, Film and advertising,
encompassing genres from 60s-styled funk, soul & boogaloo
to indie, pop and electronic. We broadened our catalogue even further
in 2008-2010, with several debut releases for new artists through Blow Up Records
ranging from indie-pop and art-rock
to kraut-rock styled electronica. The catalogue continues
to increase as the label releases new material, with five debut albums planned for
2012 including new signings David Woodcock, Fay Hallam & The Bongolian & Daiquiri Fantomas and new albums for Baltic Fleet and Alfa 9.
Blow Up Records controls the master rights for most recordings,
giving us the unique advantage of being able to process the majority of clearance
requests for both master and synchronisation within 24 hours, if not the same day.
Blow Up Songs has placed music with brands including
Nike, EA Games, Renault, The Red Cross, Wella,
ASICS, MG Rover and more.
